Client Type: Global chemicals company

Client Type: Leading global supplier of specialty ingredients for nutrition, pharmaceuticals, and clinical and infant nutrition

Challenge:
Our client had a strong, but niche position in the clinical and infant nutrition market and wanted Kline to help it identify growth opportunities in the United States and EU.

Kline Solution:
Using a primary research program in the US and EU, we characterized key segments of the clinical and infant nutrition markets in terms of size, growth, competitive intensity, and functional and clinical needs. We then screened these segments based on inherent external attractive and overall fit with client based on ~5 parameters and prioritized about three for a deep-dive assessment in the next phase of the project.

Our analysis challenged our client’s view on the attractiveness of selected segments (e.g., diabetes) and provided an objective view and recommendation for segment prioritization.

Client Type: Global corporation with strong position in consumer electronics, healthcare and lighting

Challenge:
Our client was interested in understanding which distribution channel offered the best potential for a skin imaging solution across multiple retail channels in the US.

Kline Solution:
The analysis involved assessing how various channels fit with the skin imaging value proposition and the revenue potential they offered for the service. The analysis covered all purchase channels under consideration including department stores, drug stores, mass merchandisers, cosmetic specialty stores, direct sales and others.

Kline provided the client with a thorough assessment of each channel’s fit and potential. As a result of the insights developed by Kline, the client was provided with information to better adapt its strategy in the US market.
