Based in the Oxford office, Fred du Plessis directs Kline’s European management consulting activities.
Fred has over 25 years of global business leadership and high-level consulting experience in the chemical and life sciences industries. His involvement in over 100 international strategy projects throughout 40 countries has helped businesses succeed in such areas as chemical site development, marketing strategy, product development, and bulk liquid supply chain strategies and implementation.
Prior to joining Kline Fred spent 16½ years with Sasol in South Africa and the UK where he gained international chemical industry experience in production, marketing, supply chain, and business development.
A frequent presenter at industry conferences and seminars, Fred has served as President of the European Chemical Marketing and Strategy Association (ECMSA) since 2002 and as Treasurer of the European Chemical Site Promotion Platform since April 2005.
He has a BS in chemistry and applied chemistry from University of Natal, in South Africa. He also attended the University of South Africa, for a Master of Business Leadership degree. Fred is fluent in English, Afrikaans and German, and conversant in basic Dutch, French, Italian, and Japanese.
Fred enjoys golf, reading, and classical piano. A native of South Africa, Fred currently resides in the United Kingdom with his wife and two children.
