Job Description:
Kline & Company is currently seeking a full-time Consultant for its Manufacturing and Supply Chain team, serving both domestic and global companies with competitive manufacturing assessments and performance improvement programs. As a member of the M&SC team, your primary responsibility will be to develop competitive information to support assessments that address critical and strategic manufacturing and supply chain decisions, mainly in the chemicals, materials, and downstream manufacturing industries. Critical and confidential issues may include manufacturing cost benchmarking of existing operations to identify areas for performance improvement as well assessing the feasibility of new plants.
M&SC Consultants must also have the skills necessary to conduct searches of such secondary sources as:
- Business, patent, and engineering/technical databases
- Government agency records, including environmental, labor, and tax sources and building permits
- Industry studies
- Trade and industry media
- Other industry/government sources
In addition, you will conduct primary interviews with selected industry sources. You will also assist the project team in:
- Analyzing research data
- Interpreting findings, including making financial and engineering calculations
- Writing interim and final client reports and presentations
- Presenting your findings to clients
Job Requirements:
Qualified candidates should have at least a B.S. in chemical engineering. Five years of experience in process/technology assessments, supply chain improvement, or related consulting experience is an asset. Good analytical, communication, and presentation skills are a prerequisite.
